Those closely involved with our expeditions plannnig will know we have had a great deal of help from the Oxford Based company Uk to Oz.
Uk to Oz are a company that offer a pre planned overland trip to Austraila. They drive almost the exact same route that we will be taking but have never succeeded in getting permission to drive into Myanmar. They have helped us out with issues such as Iran and answered our many, many questions on how will fend - to my amazement they said if you ignore people and keep hiden away like the FCO advises you would be more likley to experiance problems. They said when in Iran wind-down your windows and try to chat to people as they will just be curious as to why two brightly colourd Land Rovers are passing through their town. Obviously one must be alert and aware at all times.

- It all began with the phrase 'it's impossible' - and what could be a better invitation for a challenge? On the 1st September 2010 we, the First Overland 2010 Team will depart from London and make our way across the biggest stretch of land on Earth to Singapore. A journey said by many to now be 'impossible' but will are about to attempt to prove this wrong. We will be the first ever team to complete a fully faithful retrace in two replica cars. So, with the help of Oxford and Cambridge universities and uk and international contacts and of course Tata, we will shortly be setting out from Dover in two 1950's Land Rovers enroute to such places like, Italy, Syria, Iran, India and Thailand, experiancing how life aka the world and its enhabitance has changed in fifty-five years and documenting what we for future referance.
